What is Cashmere?

Well, it's like wrapping yourself in a cloud of luxury! Cashmere, also known as pashmina, is this incredibly soft and lightweight fiber that comes from the fine undercoat of cashmere goats. These cute goats hang out in the Himalayas, soaking up all that mountain magic in places like Mongolia, Nepal, and Kashmir. 🏔️

When spring rolls around, these fluffy goats shed their winter coats, revealing the softest, most downy fibers you can imagine! These delicate hairs are carefully collected through a process called combing or shearing, then treated to separate the coarse guard hairs from the dreamy, downy cashmere fibers. 🐐

Cashmere is like the VIP of fabrics—luxurious, warm, and oh-so-comfy. It's basically the ultimate choice for anyone who loves the finer things in life! So if you're all about that cozy-chic vibe, Cashmere is definitely your go-to!

Are our scarves pure Cashmere or Pashmina?

Well, they're like a cozy blend of wool and cashmere/pashmina magic! Pashmina is this special type of wool that comes from a particular breed of goat. Our scarves are made with a mix of wool from Changthangi goats (that's the pashmina part) and other cute goats and animals. 🐐

Where are our goodies crafted?

They're lovingly made, ethically and sustainably, right in the heart of India! 🇮🇳

Are your products hand embroidered?

Yep, most of our goodies are handcrafted, which means you might spot some cute loose threads or bits of color on the back of some scarves. Check out the product descriptions for all the deets! 🧵

If I see threads loose or hanging, what should I Do?

If you notice loose threads on the back of your scarves or if the thread work seems undone, don't yank on it! Pulling might damage the delicate weaving and rip the scarf. Instead, grab some scissors and carefully snip the thread, making sure not to cut too close to the scarf. Easy fix! ✂️

How do I care for these scarves?

Here's how to keep your scarves looking their best:

Wool Care Tips:

  • 🧼 Wash gently by hand with mild detergent in cold water only when necessary.
  • 🚫 Don't twist or wring; simply squeeze out excess water gently.
  • 🌞 Lay flat on a towel to air dry; skip the tumble dryer and direct sunlight.
  • 📦 Store folded in a cool, dry spot away from sunlight.
  • 🧴 Consider dry cleaning if needed, using a gentle process.
  • 🌬️ Steam to smooth out wrinkles; skip the hot iron.
  • 🚫 Keep your cashmere away from rough surfaces and sharp objects to prevent snags.
